Circle of Grace #396 - Durham, North Carolina

Today's Circle of Grace is Durham, North Carolina. Home not only to the Durham Bulls minor league baseball team, but also to our latest Springboard Church - La Cosecha Iglesia Cristiana!  

Pastored by our colleague, Pastor Oscar Chavez, La Cosecha is a new church plant that has already grown to 61 people and has enjoyed the blessing of seven baptisms.  Watch this video to see all the terrific ministry taking place.

Circle of Grace #1463 NW El Reno, Oklahoma

Today's Circle of Grace is #1463 - NW El Reno, Oklahoma. El Reno is "nestled between I-40, US Hwy 81 and Historic Route 66." It's a town rich with the history of our nation's expansion currently comprised of young rural families.

Circle of Grace #1310 - SW Suffolk, Virginia

Our Circle of Grace for today is #1310 - SW Suffolk, Virginia. With history reaching back to the Jamestown settlement of 1607, Suffolk, Virginia is now home to a charming downtown and thriving tourism. In fact, if you're a bird watcher you might want to plan on attending their Great Dismal Swamp Birding Festival May 10-12. 

Spiritually, SW Suffolk is a community very receptive to faith yet not highly attached to any one denomination.

Circle of Grace #1736 - SW Spokane, Washington

We're well into spring so it's appropriate that we'd feature the "Lilac City," aka Spokane, Washington which was nicknamed as such due to the lushness of their annual lilac blooms.  The hometown of Bing Crosby, Spokane is a young, vibrant place that could really shine with your prayers.

Circle of Grace #64 - Hartford, CT

Today's Circle of Grace, #644 - Hartford, Connecticut - "was settled in 1623 as a Dutch trading post called House of Hope."   This city with the promising name has gone from being a center for spice trading to its current status as a hub of the insurance industry.  It's a city that is also both densely populated and diverse, comprised mainly of people aged 29-49.

Circle of Grace #1655 - SE Bastrop, Louisiana

According to the City of Bastrop's website, Bastrop,Louisiana is "a place where business is done by a handshake, where folks still wave to one another and say 'how are you?' and where newcomers are welcomed with open arms."  Sounds refreshing, doesn't it? Even so, Bastrop has not been immune to the plant closings so common in the recent harsh economy.

Circle of Grace #840 - SW Altoona, PA

Today's Circle of Grace, SW Altoona, began as a railroad town in 1849.  As you can suspect, the introduction of the automobile took its toll on this once-thriving railroad center.  In recent years, however, downtown revitalization efforts have returned the city center to a place of commercial and recreational activity.

Today's Circle of Grace is SW Visalia, California. According to Visit Visalia, it is "the oldest permanent inland settlement between Stockton and Los Angeles, California." A fairly traditional, middle class community, it's 5-year population growth is expected to outpace the national rate by 5.3%.
